Directions

From Savannah: Take I-16 west to Hwy 280 exit toward Pembroke. Stay on 280 through Pembroke and Claxton. Go 6.7 miles (from HWY 301 intersection in Claxton) to Campground Road, turn left & go 1.6 miles. Campground is on the right. (2) Take Hwy 204 toward Pembroke and it will merge into Hwy 280. Stay on 280 through Pembroke and Claxton. Go 6.7 miles (from HWY 301 intersection in Claxton) to Campground Road, turn left & go 1.6 miles. Campground is on the right.

From Statesboro: Take Hwy 301 south to Claxton. Turn right on Hwy 280. Stay on 280 through Pembroke and Claxton. Go 6.7 miles (from HWY 301 intersection in Claxton) to Campground Road, turn left & go 1.6 miles. Campground is on the right.

From Brunswick: Take I-95 north toward Savannah and get off at exit 94, turn left away from Savannah and toward Pembroke. The road will merge in to Hwy 280. Stay on 280 through Pembroke and Claxton. Go 6.7 miles (from the 301 intersection in Claxton) to Campground Rd, turn left and go 1.6 miles. The campground is on the right.

In order to provide the Tabernacle with a Choir and Ushers for each service, different groups sponsor each day. If you are a member of one of the following groups, we hope to see you in the choir or as an usher on the following days, though all are invited.

Welcome

Tattnall Campground has been in operation for over 140 years, and we are ready to welcome you to our facilities. The campground is located between Bellville and Reidsville, GA on Highway 280 on Campground Road. There is a large sign that will direct you to the premises.

 

 

About the 2008 Campmeeting

The Gospel Sing will be on July 19th, featuring the Dixie Melody Boys. Additional performers to be announced.

2008 Pastor, Rev. Joyce Payne

For the first time in Campmeeting history, a woman will serve as pastor. Joyce Payne is an Ordained Elder under appointment as a General Evangelist of the United Methodist Church since 1993. She loves God with a passion, and has a heart that is drawn towards a lost and hurting world. She has preached in places from New York to Miami, from South Carolina to Missouri, and places in-between. You can visit her website here.

2008 Song Leader, Ms. Angie Carr

Ms. Angie Carr, the Director of Music Ministries at Tifton First United Methodist Church, will be providing the music leadership at Tattnall Campmeeting. She has recorded multiple albums through Highest Praise Ministries, and has been a staple at Tattnall Campmeeting for a decade.

 

About the 2007 Campmeeting

The 2007 Campmeeting was a great success! Thank you for your participation and support. Daddy Rick went back to the Methodist Children's Home with two large truckfuls of supplies, your generosity will not go unnoticed. We look forward to making the 2008 Campmeeting even better! Mark your calendars for July 20th - 27th, 2008!

About the Youth Program

The Tattnall Youth Program is a constantly growing and intense program for young Christians of all ages. Supervised for over a decade by Matt and Wanda Shryock, the program has experience and success each year. You'll find that this program is one of the most worthwhile, as well as most affordable, in the region. Whether you have a child that wants to attend or you want to bring your whole youth group to bond and meet others in the region, Tattnall Campground's Youth Program is one of the best.

*** WALK-INS WELCOME! ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED. Forms will be avaliable for all camps upon arrival. Day Camp can be registered by the individual day, with check-in from 9:30 am - 10:00 am, Monday - Friday. We welcome all who come, you will not be turned away due to lack of advanced registration for any of our camps. We will be accepting applications throughout the year. Day Camp (Monday-Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.)

Designed for Rising Pre-K to 8th Grade Students, Tattnall Day Camp gives kids the chance to to experience riveting Bible Study, Arts and Crafts, Recreation, and Songs & Stories that will remain with them throughout the year. Lunch is included and they will take home memorable crafts that were made from each day of the week.

Elementary Camp (Check-In Mon. 9:00 A.M., Check-Out Fri. at 1:00 P.M.)

Designed for Rising 3rd Grade to 8th Grade (although students up to 12th grade are welcome to stay), Tattnall's Elementary Camp is an Overnight Experience that is more intensive than Day Camp. The counseling team provides bible study in a "family" unit, that is grouped based on ages, from Rising 3rd to 5th Grades; 5th and 6th Grade; and 7th Grade and Older. Additional activities include Sealed Orders, a unique Tattnall Experience that provides a quiet time for you, your bible, and God; Day Camp; a Story Time tailored for each age group; Evening Activity Time for messy games; Evening Worship; daily post-service activities, including Family Feud, a competition between each group for bonding and Christian Fun; Midnight Swim in the pool; Talent Night, when everyone is welcome to see all of the campers perform individually or in group skits; and a powerful Candlelight Communion Service on the final night.

The cost of $80 includes three meals daily and a camp t-shirt. We can't wait to see you there!

Youth Camp (Check-In Fri. 5:00 P.M., Check-Out Sun. at 1:00 P.M.)

Designed for Rising 7th to 12th Grade, Tattnall's Youth Program is a weekend filled with fun and Christian fellowship. Beginning at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, youth from all over the region will come for a themed weekend. The intensive weekend is filled with bible study around this theme, services, and discussions that will last with you a lifetime. Additional evening activities include a Midnight Swim and a powerful Candlelight Communion Service, an experience unlike any communion you have ever taken part in. This year, campers will also get to hear the Christian Band "3 for 1" live in concert at the Campground.

The cost of $50 includes all meals and a t-shirt.

Elementary and Youth Camp

For the cost of $120, Rising 7th Grade and Older may attend both Elementary and Youth Camp at a discounted rate.
